SULLIVAN, Thomas L., Beloved husband of Athena D. Sullivan (Nee Vaias) for 57 years. Loving father of Diane (Mike) Gliebe - Meyer, Tim (Carrie) Sullivan and the late Steven Sullivan. Father in law of Susan Sullivan and the late Nicholas Gliebe. Devoted grandfather of Connor, Kevin, Ryan, Lauren, Bryn, McKenna, Casey and Aidan. Dear brother of Michael (Marianne), James P. (Mary Ellen) and the late Dennis Sullivan. Brother in law of Janice Sullivan. Also survived by his many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 83 years of age.

Born to Lawrence and Marie Sullivan in 1938. Tom enjoyed growing up on the West Side of Cincinnati with his three brothers, who were also three of his best friends. He graduated St. William Elementary and Elder High School.

Tom was very proud of his Irish heritage. No surprise, Notre Dame was his favorite team. When he entered their lower level family room, he would slap the sign "Play like a Champion today". A motto he followed personally and professionally.

He owned a successful construction company for 30 years. The people at Sullivan Construction were like family, and of course, his company logo included a shamrock.

His life with Athena was an adventure. They raised three children to appreciate the fun in life such as pools, vacations, boating, cars, country music, dirt bikes, dogs and more.

Tom went by many names Dad, Sully, Uncle T and Poppy. If you were one of the lucky ones that called him Poppy, you know what a huge heart he had. A teddy bear of a Grandpa, that along with Grandma, were always in the stands at your games, swimming with you in their backyard pool, or delivering you donuts from their favorite bakery (Bizy Bee) in town.

Poppy was our legend; our hearts will always smile when we think of him.
