Maurice R. Hornbach, of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the age of 86. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 25, 1935, to Anthony and Mary (nee Hegarty) Hornbach. On December 27, 1958, Maurice married Marjorie L Gaiser .
Maurice served in the U.S. Army. After the Army, he worked at Partridge Meats for over 20 years. In 1982, he began a new career at Fernald in the fire and safety department and worked there until his retirement.
He was active in the Crosby Township, serving as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician for 32 years. He was a member of the Crosby Township Historical Society, Crosby Township Senior Club, and the New Alsace American Legion Post 452. He also served as a Crosby Township Trustee and an instructor at the American Red Cross.
