She was born in Warren County, PA, the daughter of the late Clarence E. and Hazel Mesler Coy.
Following high school, she served in the US Army from 1952 to 1953.
Thelma enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. She loved socializing with friends.
Surviving is her daughter, Carol Downey of Jamestown, as well as Eileen Nygfan of Hillcrest, NY; five grandchildren: Tammy Lupold, Roberta Franklin, Joseph Franklin, Jonathan Franklin, and Curtis Wriggle; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Franklin; son, Robert Franklin, Jr.; daughter Patricia Franklin; and granddaughter, Amy Wriggle.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28th in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Childs will officiate. Inurnment will be in Lake View Cemetery.
