She married Jackson Harold Smith.

They had 2 children Robert Eugene Smith and *Thelma Smith.

She had 7 brothers Loyd, Loren, Everett, Joseph, John, Jesse (Frank), and Herbert and

8 sisters Aresa Johnson, Julia Smith, Tressia Mason, Verda Huffman, Vera Johnson, Wavadell(Susan) Labor Urutia, Geanette Johnson and Maner Johnson.

Note: *Thelma was a typo/error, should have been Velma.

According to her obituary in The Galena Times dated September 20, 1932, Lucille Smith died September 19, 1932 at her home near Galena of typhoid pneumonia, and was buried in Hill Crest cemetery.

Parents are Mr. and Mrs. *Jack [Arthur Lloyd]
Johnson.
She leaves husband, Jack L. Smith, and two children, *Velma [Thelma] and Bobby Smith.

Evidently the funeral home got it wrong because it was in two different newspapers that her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnson. Probably got the name mixed up with her husband, Jack.

The daughter was Velma in the newspaper, but I will change it to Thelma and also correct the parents names.

I am so sorry I have not gotten back to you about the suggestion you put on find a grave. I did not see it until now.

Her daughter's name is Velma. She was born on July 6, 1907 in Sadorus, IL.

Her name is Lucille India Johnson Smith.

I got a picture of her birth record. She was the 8th children born to Arthur Johnson and Minnie Mae Leckner Johnson.

I thought I read somewhere she died of blood clot or aneurysm?
