Mark Harper, age 61 of St. Johns, FL, formerly of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Community Hospice – Baptist Hospital South, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 19, 1960 in St. Augustine, FL. Mark was a graduate of Alter High School Class of 1979, and he was an avid U.D. Flyers fan.
Preceded in death by his father Frank Harper, Sr., his brother Frank Harper, Jr., a nephew Cheyenne Harper, and by a niece LaTasha Wolf.
He is survived by his loving wife Dana (Castle) Harper, his children Mark 'Sonny" Harper, Jr., Nicole Orr and husband Jim, Amy Cassidy and husband Jim, and Arianna Davis, his mother Barbara J. (Meyer) Harper, his sister Hope Harper, 5 grandchildren Carson Harper, Cody Harper, Henry Cassidy, Delilah Davis and Gavin Eagle, 2 nephews Nolan Shea & Ryan Shea, niece Maggie Caulfield, father-in-law Art "Bud" Castle, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pike, Dayton, with Father Jim Romanello, Celebrant. Burial Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Swart Funeral Home in West Carrollton.
