John was born April 27, 1939 in New York City, NY, the son of the late Custer Ford and Helen (Diak) Ford Snyder.
John served with the U.S. Air force during the Vietnam War, retiring after 20 years of service. John later worked for the Snyder Pretzel Co. for many years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, singing and weaving rugs.
In addition to his wife, Peggyann, John is survived by three sons, Richard L. Ford, East Berlin, Terry W. Ford and his wife Tess, of Wellsville, and Gregory P. Ford and his wife Renee, of Middletown, DE, two brothers, Gary Ford of Lewisberry, and Paul Ford of Duncannon. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffery Allen Ford who died on May 24, 2015, and a brother, Daniel Lee Ford.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2 PM from Red Run Church Cemetery, 6623 Davidsburg Rd., East Berlin. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Brown.
