Mrs. Hancock was employed by the Bedford Loan and Deposit Bank for fifty-eight years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time visiting various parts of the United States. In later years, she visited many foreign countries on trips with friends from Trimble County. Also, she was active in the local art community and was known for her paintings. Trimble County Library hosted a retrospective of her work several years ago.
She was a lifelong member of Bedford Christian Church where her mother was pianist for many years.
She was preceded in death by parents; her husband Robert C. Hancock in 1992; one brother, John A. Ball and one sister, Jane Jackson.
