Funeral service for Walter Ray Bailey, 89, of Ninnekah, OK will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Bryan Haynes will officiate.
Walter Ray Bailey was born the son of Walter and Jewel Bailey on April 5, 1932 in Brownfield, TX. He died on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in Chickasha, OK.
Walter lived in Texas and Oklahoma growing up. He married his wife Ruby in 1953 in Weatherford, TX. In the early 1960's he moved to Ninnekah, OK. He worked in the oilfield for 43 years as a tool-pusher, roughneck and superintendent. After he retired from the oilfield he worked part time for Canadian Valley Technology Center in Chickasha.
Walter was preceded in death by both parents; his wife Ruby Bailey; daughter Marilyn McCloskey; sister, Betty Jean Henson; brother Edward Dale Williams and granddaughter Natalie Carter.
Walter is survived by his daughter Patty Camp; son Walter Bailey, Jr.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
