Earl was loved by many and enjoyed spending time with family and friends while hunting and fishing. He came to know the Lord around the age of 60. He made his living in the pulp wood and logging industry. If you knew him, you knew how much he loved spending time in Mobile Bay fishing for mullet or in the woods hunting wild game.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kitty Mitchell, and parents Wiley and Flora Mitchell along with brother WD Mitchell, and sisters Velma Givens, Irene Madden, and Eleanor Ratliff. He leaves behind his children; Patty Melton (Donald), Robert Mitchell (Susan), and Rebecca Fikes; sisters; Esther Dawson, Mildred Thomas, Grace Riffe, Polly Lake, Shirley Braswell, Sheila Pickles, and Sue Murray. He was blessed with seven grandchildren; Cindy Paul (Richard), Jeff Mitchell (Denita), Jonathan Melton (Jennifer), Lane Mitchell (Laura), Nicholas Mitchell (Carly), Mitchell Mosley (Amy), and Tyler Mitchell (Kristi). Great-grandchildren Abbi, Thomas, Lily, Tyson, Reagan, Alaina, Josie, Jasper, Taite, Miller, Hudson, Harmony, and Marshall enjoyed spending time with him at his home in Seminole. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on February 26, 2022 at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale, Alabama with graveside service immediately following at Mitchell Cemetery in Seminole, Alabama. Family will receive friends and family from 9-10am prior to the funeral services.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Mitchell, Jonathan Melton, Lane Mitchell, Nicholas Mitchell, Mitchell Mosley, and Tyler Mitchell.
