Bill was born on September 23, 1960, a son of William S. and Ann (Neville) Kelley.
He graduated from SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY ESF before pursuing his over 30 year career in law enforcement with the Saratoga County Sheriff's Department and the Village of Ballston Spa Police Department.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman and spent many weekends with members of the Nine Point Hunting Camp. He also treasured his relationship with his lifelong high school friends.
Bill could be described in so many words-charismatic, loving, warm, and of course funny. He could light up a room with his smile and laughter, and there was no shortage of stories to tell. Above all else, Bill was an adoring father. There is no one that Bill loved more than his children, and he cherished the hours spent sharing the outdoors with his son Ryan during camp weekends. He never smiled as hard as he did when watching his children reach their goals. The legacy of his kind spirit, devotion to family, and hilarious nature will live on through Lindsay and Ryan.
He is survived by his children Lindsay (Jerry) Green and Ryan (Lucy) Kelley; his father, William S. Kelley; his siblings Maureen (Rick) Cooper, Bridget (Peter) Zimmer, Michael Kelley, and all his beloved nieces and nephews.
Doc was preceded in death by his mother Ann, sisters Debbie and Kathy, his niece and goddaughter Lauren, as well as his beloved mother-in-law Wreatha Manning.
He was a devoted father, brother, son, uncle, and a friend cherished by all.
