"THE LORD IS MY SHEPHARD"

JIMMY C. RICHARDSON, lovingly known as "Boo" to his family, was born in Pascagoula, MS, August 17, 1951, to the union of the late Robert and Verdie Rance-Richardson, departed this earthly life on 2/ 22/22.

JIMMY was a l970 graduate of Carver High School and played alto saxophone in the school band for four years. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army and served five years active duty and 10 years in the Army Reserves. He returned to Pascagoula and was employed at Northrop Grumman for over 40 years as a 1st Class Electrician. He served as the first African American President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker (IBEW), Local 733, for 21 years, until his health started to decline. Jimmy took pride in helping young men and young women get accepted into the Electrical Apprenticeship Program at Northrop Grumman.

If HE wasn't working, you could find him under the hood of a truck/car or at the race track with his many friends. He loved children and would spend countless hours counseling them on being a good and productive person.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Verdie Rance-Richardson; two sisters, Claudette Richardson and Shirley Richardson-Sessions; two brothers, Clarence (Bubba) Richardson and Alan Richardson.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his loving memories two devoted sisters, Melba Richardson and Dorothy Richardson-Harvey, Moss Point, MS; three brothers, Robert Richardson, Jr, Fernwood, MS, Morris Richardson, Wiggins, MS and Donald (Linda) Richardson of Moss Point; his only aunt, Lillie Bernice Stewart, San Jose, CA; his God-daughter Heaven Inez Sessions-Contreras, Modesto, CA; three young ladies he loved as his daughters, Mia (Craig) Fornett, Shanika "Ralph" Wells, Moss Point, MS and Jessica (Demetrius) Brandley, Honolulu, HI; along with their children, Kenyatta, Kera, Gabby and DJ; devoted friends, Edna Taylor and Barbara Richardson; members of IBEW, Local 733 and the A. Phillip Randolph Institute (APRI), along with a host of other relatives and friends. He was well known in the Northrop Grumman family, throughout Jackson County and along the MS /AL Gulf Coast.
