Richard S. Phillips, age 72 passed away on February 14, 2022. He was born June 7, 1949 in Ames, Iowa, the son of Jack (deceased) and Charlotte Phillips. Dear father of Michele (Joshua) and Malorie (Ryan), brother of Ted (Toni), Dale (Melinda) and JoAnn (Richard deceased). Beloved grandfather of Gavin, Alyse, and Little Papa to Hailey and Peyton. Uncle of Michael (Kate), Jonny (Bethany), Sean, Gregory, and Brendan. He remained a cherished friend to Nance Phillips. Richard loved his family and enjoyed being a grandpa more than anything. He always managed to stay busy especially outdoors gardening. There was no limit to the types of music Richard enjoyed, and he accumulated quite the collection over the years. He worked in residential and commercial maintenance and could fix anything. Family and friends often called upon his expertise. He never met a stranger and could engage in conversation with anyone. Per his request cremation will take place and no services will be held.
