Carol Easterling, 79 of West Palm Beach Florida died on February 9, 2022. Carol was born in Norwalk Connecticut on April 19, 1942, to Todd Wellington and Miriam Lundy Wright. Carol will be forever loved by her two sisters, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
When Carol graduated from the University of Miami in 1964, she knew she was going to be a journalist. Right out of college she started on that path by working as a production assistant WTVJ in Miami and WPEC in West Palm Beach. Following her dream, she moved to Los Angeles in the mid-sixties. There she worked for Hanna Barbera and Bon Appetit among others. Family called her back to Palm Beach County in the early eighties where she continued her career at the Palm Beach Daily News and Business Weekly. Freelance work and what Carol called a fun job in Palm Beach County government was all she needed before retiring at the age of 74.
Carol always volunteered wherever she was needed, most recently with the Kiwanis Club. She was an avid reader, bike rider and animal lover. She was present at every family celebration playing games and sharing her famous corn casserole recipe. There are so many great "do you remember" stories that she loved to relive and laugh about with the family. To say she will be missed is an understatement. She will be mourned.
Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to a memorial service and birthday celebration for her in April. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the Palm Beach County Animal Shelter
