James "Jim" W. McDonald, 92, of Boiling Springs, SC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Born August 29, 1929, in Hanging Dog, NC, he was the son of the late Howard T. and Annie Mulkey McDonald.

Mr. McDonald, who was a longtime member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, served with the church's mission teams after his retirement from Duke Energy. He took part in 15 trips to Brazil to construct new churches.

Jim is survived by his wife, Brenda H. McDonald; his daughter, Joyce M. Ledbetter of China Grove, NC; his son Nolan Hoke McDonald of Spartanburg; grandson Ritchie McDonald and wife Angie; great grandchildren, Blake McDonald and wife Harley, and Miranda McDonald Vassey and husband Tyler; and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, James "Jimmy" W. McDonald, Jr., and son-in-law, Gary Ledbetter.

A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
