Our beloved father, Anthony (Tony) Wayne (Leatherman) Wood went home to his Lord and Savior peacefully the morning of February 2nd, 2022 at the age of 62.
Tony was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Patricia Ann Wood and Leonard Lee Leatherman on December 26, 1959. Tony graduated from Fargo High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1978. He served as a MEDEVAC helicopter crew chief and EMT. After his nearly 7 years of active-duty military service, he joined the Army National Guard as a Platoon Sergeant in Hawaii from 86'-90' and Section Sergeant in Texas from 90'-93' concluding his Army service at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He also worked as a pharmacy technician and volunteer firefighter. He spent the majority of his life serving his community as a Paramedic with titles ranging from Supervisor, Field Training Officer, E.M.S. instructor and Disaster Response Coordinator. He was also known to his colleagues as the "Cardiology King" or "Bubblegum man". His passion and commitment to serving his country and local community inspired all of his children to follow in his footsteps and pursue careers in the military, EMS/Fire, medical field as well.

Tony was a strong, kind-hearted, loving and supportive father, beloved "Papa", and dear friend to many. He was a God-loving man, faithful, forgiving and caring. His strong faith, guidance, knowledge, and wisdom were the foundation for his family.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann Wood, father, Kent William Wood, loving grandparents Eldridge and Mary Rhea, Elmo and Evelyn Leatherman and dearest friend Karen Michele Adkins.

He is survived by his father, Leonard Leatherman and wife Sharon; siblings, Linda Peck & husband, Max, William B. Wood & wife, Dawn, Tricia Magavern ,& husband, Kevin, Deborah Harrison & husband, Richard, Justin Leatherman & wife Cindy; his children, Leilani Wood, Keoni Wood, Kealoha Borgens (Wood) & husband Patrick, Jake Wood, Tyler Wood; Bonus children, Kristen Conway, Luis Martinez Jr. (passed 2008) Alicia Cervantes (Martinez), Kayleigh Adkins and Christiana Adkins; his gandchildren, Chloe Wood, Zoey, Chloee, Landen Borgens, Luke and Colton Martinez; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
