Joseph P. Roberts, a resident of West Branch, Michigan passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 84.
He was born October 4, 1937, in Pearl Beach, Michigan to the late Roy and Mary Marks Roberts.
He proudly served in the United States Navy. After his return to civilian life he was employed as superintendent of the Mount Clemens Water Department for the city of Mt. Clemens. Always interested in current affairs and politics, he also enjoyed western movies. He will be remembered as being devoted to his family.
Besides his parents and wives Carole and Janis, he was preceded in death by grandson Steven Roberts and granddaughter Ella Hall. Nine siblings have also preceded him in death, Edward, Eugenie, June, Timothy, Susan, Charles, Marion, Shirley and Nancy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 6:30 pm followed by a time for family sharing at the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, Michigan. On Monday, January 17, 2022 a mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am (instate at 11:00 am ) at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
Burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan
