Dennis F. Schmidt, known to family and friends as "Sam", passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the age of 70.
This Sunday's child was born November 4, 1951, to the late Ervin F. "Jim" Schmidt and Margaret Esther Rivard Schmidt.
On September 17, 1976, in Mount Clemens, Michigan he wed the former Linda J. Monte. Together they shared 31 years of marriage. Linda preceded her husband in death June 28, 2008.
Sam owned and operated Metropolitan Equipment Rental in Shelby Township for over 50 years.
He, along with brother Roger founded this company that is now still being operated by family. Devoting much of his attention to his business, he did find time to relax by boating and fishing.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, Roger and Edward Schmidt.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm at the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, MI.
Burial will take place at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
