A graduate of LaSalle Academy, Providence College and Georgetown University School of Law, Mr. Flynn was a Bristolian, a boxer, an attorney, FBI agent, a politician and a happy retiree. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church, the Legion of Mary and the Rosary Society.
He was also a two time cancer survivor, dear friends of Bernice and James Clancy and especially proud of his grandson Kevin, Sgt. USMC, who was a combat veteran of the Afghanistan War and recipient of the Medal of Honor.
He is survived by: his children Tim, Matt, Mike, Jimmy, Mary and Margaret; grandchildren Kevin, Kristina, Erin, Shannon, Rebecca, Robert, Benjamin and Tyler and great grandchildren Mackenzie and J.R. He was the brother of Michael Flynn and the late Margaret Gault. He is also leaves his rescue dog Finnegan from Eland, SC.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, March 1st at St. Francis de Sales Church, School St., North Kingstown. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours were held on Monday evening, February 28th at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St. East Greenwich.
