MARIETTA -- Funeral services for Alyne F. Potts of Fort Worth, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
Mrs. Potts was born Jan. 31, 1908, at Aubrey, Texas, to George and Bertha Coffey Wand. She passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 28, 1998, at Harris Hospital of Fort Worth at the age of 90 years, nine months and 27 days.
Mrs. Potts had lived in Fort Worth one year after living most of her adult life in Healdton. She was married to Harold Potts in June of 1941, at Marietta. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1974. She was a retired teacher and a member of First Baptist Church in Ardmore where she taught a young women's Sunday school class for many years. Mrs. Potts was also preceded in death by a sister, Katheryn Tipton on April 9, 1996.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Harolyn and Jim Chatham, Sana'a, Republic of Yeman; two grandchildren, Angela Sinclair and Bradley Chatham; four great-grandchildren, Jordan Sinclair, Collin Sinclair, Connor Chatham and Makenzie Chatham; several nieces and nephews.
