Ruth Anne White, 77, of Mineral, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, February 02, 2022. Despite a long and difficult journey with Alzheimer's, Ruth's positive outlook and beautiful smile remained until the very end. After years of fighting, she graciously went to be with the lord, knowing the plans He has for her.

Ruth was born in Alexandria, Virginia, on April 13, 1944 to Helen and Eugene Hunter Stephens. She was feisty, vibrant, and comical from the very beginning. Despite being born with only one hand, she never let limitations get in her way. Her stumpy elbow, lovingly known to all as Boney, was her friend to the end.

A strong, classic, and beautiful soul, Ruth was the epitome of a proper Christian lady. She enjoyed being outside, tending to her yard, listening to Elvis Presely, and in recent years, watching old Western films with handsome cowboys. She spoke fondly of her years working for Capital One and the wonderful people she worked with. After her retirement, she kept in touch with a few co-workers, treasuring their friendship and speaking of them often.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Joshua White (Tiffany Dickey); grandchildren, Ashland, Tabitha, Jojo and Trysten; her sister, Gloria Jean Stephens Frankart; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen Goad Nastasi and Eugene Hunter Stephens, and one sister, Pearl Wriston.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm at South Anna Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday February 26, 2022
