William David McLaughlin, 68, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
David was born Sunday, November 29, 1953, to the late William and Bertie McLaughlin. David retired from Warner Gear after many years there. He was a huge outdoorsman, whether he was fishing, boating, gardening, snowmobiling or feeding the birds, he loved to be in nature. More than anything David was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his special friend, Brenda Slain; daughters, Amy (Thomas) Gough and Taylor McLaughlin; grandchildren, Steven Cizmar and J.T. Gough; sisters, Linda (Merrill) Royal, Marsha (Eric) Anderson, Patti (Jim) Pierce, and Teresa (Chris) McCord; brother, Philip (Heidi) McLaughlin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bertie McLaughlin; daughter, Heather McLaughlin; brother, Michael McLaughlin; and sister, Janice McLaughlin.
