Erma R. Hudson, age 91, passed away on Mother's Day May 9, 2021, at 12:05 am, at her residence surrounded by loving family.

Erma was born May 24, 1929 in Zeeland, North Dakota, to Wilhelm Meidinger and Lydia (Haas) Meidinger, both of whom preceded her in death. In 1954 She married Donald Hudson, who preceded her in death.

She was a successful businesswoman and she owned and operated Pomona Skateland in Pomona, California for over 30 years. She was known for her kindness and hospitality and was more like a second mother to many of her patrons, making them all part of her family. She found great joy in being active. Dancing was one of her favorite hobbies and she was an avid tennis player until she was 84. She had a talent for baking and gardening and was as famous for making delicious desserts as she was for growing beautiful roses. Erma loved her family above all else and will be remembered most for being an amazing mother and grandmother. She was an exceptional woman and will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Survivors include: children, Ronald (Debbie) Hudson, Robert (Cherie) Hudson, Rhondie (Michael) Campbell, Renahe Hudson, and Tony (Patricia) Hudson; as well as one brother, Willy Meidinger, sixteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and beloved canine companion, Lucy.

Preceded in death by: parents, Wilhelm Meidinger and Lydia (Haas) Meidinger; spouse, Donald Hudson, an infant granddaughter, Christine Lynn Hudson; as well as seven siblings.
