He was born March 16, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Ray H. Carroll and Anna J Laws Carroll.
He worked as a coal miner for many years. He was a wonderful Husband, Dad, Papaw and Brother. He loved spending time with his grandson's Hunter, Dylan, and his dog Duke. He also loved spending time on his farm.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ray and Anna Carroll, infant son, James Wesley Carroll II, one brother, Danny E. Carroll, grandparents Jim and Carrie Laws and Wesley and Bessie Carroll, father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Geneva Vanoy.
Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 46 years, Pamela Carroll, son Dennis (Hope) Carroll, daughter Dana (John) Hoskins, grandsons Hunter and Dylan Hoskins, brother Larry (Kim) Carroll, sister Vickie (Paul) Barton, uncle and aunt Elijah and Betty Boshears, aunt Helen Laws, brother-in-law Ronnie (Tina) Vanoy, sister in laws Sharon (Tommy) Arnett, and Debbie Martin, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends who will miss him dearly.
