Janice, also known as Mojo, grew up at Conception Junction and attended Jefferson High School. In June of 1971, she married Larry Glenn Baker. They made their home at Grant City, Missouri and were blessed with two daughters, Maxine and Kathy. On June 27, 1981, she married Ricky Allen Flowers. They lived on a farm outside of Decatur, Iowa and were blessed with daughter, LeeRay.
Janice lived the most of her adult life in Decatur County, Iowa. She tended bar in Davis City at the Blue Moon Saloon for several years. She also worked in the area on the road construction crew.
In her free time, Janice enjoyed studying Native American Indian history. She loved to fish, camp, and be outdoors. She was known as the fun aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She once drove a racecar. Janice was proud of the fact she was a breast cancer survivor.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Kenny, Scott, and James Moad; grandson, Jonathan "J.T." Flowers; and great granddaughter, Paisley Dawn Reed. Survivors include her daughters, Maxine Baker and boyfriend, Tony Collins, of Des Moines, Iowa, Kathy Chumbley of Lamoni, Iowa, and LeeRay Flowers and companion, Richard Flowers of Grand River, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, Richard & Skylar, Dakota & Ashley, Cassandra, Payton, Adriana, Damian, Brian & Alley, Donovan & Cheyenne, Mandy, Elizabeth, and Greyson; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Leslie & Linda Reed of Deepwater, Missouri, Paul Moad & Patty Mitchell of Albany, Missouri, Mickey Moad of Bethany, Missouri, Denny Moad of Gentry, Missouri, Jane Venable of St. Joseph, Missouri, Patty & Robert Hamilton of Bethany, Cheryl "Sherry" Flowers of Albany, and Eddie Moad, of Albany; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
