Troy Stephens of Wentzville, Missouri passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the age of 49 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lezlie Stephens and two sons, Joshua Stephens and Nicholas Stephens, all of Wentzville, MO; his mother, Pamela Stephens of Andrews, IN; two brothers Rob Stonebraker and his wife, Deb of Loveland, OH and Jamie Stonebraker of Andrews, IN; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and fur babies, Simba, Cruze, Dory, and Bailey.

Troy A. Stephens was born June 11, 1972 and raised in Huntington, IN; son of Jerry Lee Stephens and wife, Pamela Elvin Stephens. After graduating from high school, Troy served in the US Navy on the USS Boston. He married Lezlie Jo Qualley on February 24, 2001, in Peoria, IL. Troy worked a variety of jobs during his lifetime, including driving Charter buses, but his greatest passion was as a Paramedic, serving others, working for AMT-Central IL in Peoria, IL and Christian Hospital EMS in North St. Louis County, Missouri. His most recent career move combined his love for helping others, skills as a driver, and interest in technology, working for STL Communications as a Technician, and VP of Transportation (a self-proclaimed title).

He enjoyed traveling, fishing, riding his tractor (aka: mower), operating his Ham radio, weather spotting, dog sitting, and fostering nearly 100 puppies. Troy was also a Star Trek enthusiast (Trekkie) and even attended one of the Annual Star Trek conventions in Las Vegas.

Troy had a passion for doing things for others. He was always willing to drop everything to help those in need at a moment's notice. He also loved telling "dad jokes" and making people laugh.

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Stephens; paternal grandparents, Richard and Marjorie (Weaver) Stephens; and maternal grandmother, Wilma (Obenour) Jackson.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Bailey-Love Mortuary.
