Frankie Lee Watson, beloved wife of Cecil Watson for 69 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15 in Anderson after an extended illness.

Frankie Lee was born May 13, 1933 to Frank James Causby and Julia Josephine Weir Causby in Morganton, NC. She attended High Point College and Anderson University majoring in Christian Education and English. She complemented her husband, Rev. Dr. Cecil W. Watson, in ministry to the First Church of God, Paris, Ky for eight years and Princeton, WV Church of God for eleven years. Frankie Lee was instrumental in the founding of the Child Development Center in Princeton and served as the Administrator under church sponsorship.

After moving to Anderson, Frankie Lee was the manager for the Warner Press Bookstore for over 10 years. Frankie Lee then decided to follow her passion for interior design. After completing studies from the New York School of Interior Design, she began her own business and opened a storefront in Anderson. Later, she moved the business, FL Bath & Interiors, to Fishers, IN. Frankie Lee's creativity and attention to detail enhanced her designs. Her community activities through the years included serving as president of the International Management Council (Madison County), a member of the Altrusa International Club, the Fashion Group International, Inc of Indianapolis, Christian Women Connection, and Sigma Tau Delta. She was a longtime member of the East Side Church of God in Anderson and enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. Frankie Lee served the Church of God's women's ministries on both a local and a national level.

Frankie Lee is survived by her husband, Cecil, and two children, Karen Watson-Newlin (Rob Newlin) of Madison, WI and Michael Watson (Christopher Bowen) of New York, NY, and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Frankie Lee was thrilled to be able to meet the two great-grandchildren despite the challenges of the pandemic.

Additional surviving family members include a cousin, Bette Davis of Alexandria, VA; nephews James Fuller and Donald Fuller of Anderson, IN, Jeff Fuller, James Causby, Darren Shafer; and nieces Lynn Causby and Debbie Causby.

Preceding Frankie in death were her parents and her siblings, Margaret Causby Schaffer, James "Buddy" Causby and Nelda Causby Fuller.

Frankie Lee wanted to be a part of her Celebration of Life to enjoy her favorite musicians and songs so she planned the service that was held November 5, 2021.

The final closure will be a graveside memorial service on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 11:30 am at East Maplewood Cemetery Chapel in Anderson, IN with Dr. Kerry Robinson officiating. Friends are welcome to attend the brief graveside memorial.
