Daniel Charles Mackey, 63, passed away on February 16, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi- St. Francis, Wichita, Ks. He was born on August 13, 1958 in North Tarrytown, NY, the son of Donald V. and Alice (Hardwood) Mackey.
Daniel graduated from Croton-Harmon High School in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. He was a self-employed carpenter. On May 27, 1989, he married Ana Gonzalez in Ossining, NY. On their 25th anniversary, they renewed their vows in Wichita, KS. Daniel was a family man. His absence will be a great void in all his loved ones lives, however Daniel's memory will live on with each of them with wonderful memories and the stories they will share with their children and grandchildren. Daniel certainly left a legacy of love. He found great joy in helping the homeless, whether it was spreading the word of God or serving food at the Soup Kitchen. He loved to pray, read and go on walks.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ana Mackey; five children, Tasha (Bennie) Rosa, Michelle (Rogelio) Quinones, William (Teresa) Del Gaudio, Daniel (Meaghan) Mackey II, and Alicia Mackey; one sister, Betty (Ron) Tullipano; 30 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Church of New Wine, 228 E. 9th St, Hutchinson, KS, with Reverend Charles Crumble Sr. presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to Church of New Wine and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
