William A. Hixson, 74, who retired in 1965 as a plant supervisor for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co., died Sunday in Sibley Memorial Hospital. He lived on Yuma Street NW.
Hixson, a District native, work for the C & P for 43 years.
He leaves his wife Rita W.; a son, William W., of Westerfield, Conn., a daughter, Sister Suzanne Hixson, SNJM, of Silver Spring; a brother Dr. Clayton H., of Silver Spring and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon tomorrow in Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home, 5130 Wisconsin Ave. NW, with burial in Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Sisters of the Holy Name Retirement Fund 1061 New Scotland Road, Albany, N.Y., or to Children's Hospital.
