Mr. Earnest Miller, age 97, of Mena, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Mena.
He was born August 8, 1910 in Cherry Hill, Arkansas to the late Rufus Miller and Nancy Lackey Miller. He was united in marriage to the late Ethel Deramus Miller. He was a retired minister and a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by:

Children: Evelyn Crawford and husband Arley of Anderson, California Sharon Lovett of Hot Springs, Arkansas and former son-in-law, Ray Lovett of Mena, Arkansas

Grandchildren: Dale Crawford, Maribeth Crawford Burrows, Gwena Lovett Hooper and husband Tony, and Sharay Lovett Durbin and husband Beau

Great-grandchildren: Mike Crawford, Zach Swan, Tim Swan, Emma Swan, Bryna Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, and Tanner Hooper

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Nancy Miller, a grandson, Arnold Ray Crawford, 3 brothers, Dave Miller, Monroe Miller, and Josh Miller, and 5 sisters, Ellen Allen Foster, Bessie Barber, Bertha Howard, Josie McCraw, and Dollie Deramus.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cherry Hill Methodist Church with Reverend Jack Smith and Brother Daryl Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Cherry Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
