Richard "Rick" Locke Brooks, age 75, passed away at home on Saturday, February 19, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his beloved wife and children.

He was born on October 16, 1946 in Painesville, Ohio to the late Robert (Bob) R. and Beulah (Eskew) Brooks.

Rick proudly served in the U.S. Army for thirty-three years and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. During his time in active duty, he served two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. As part of his service, he received many achievements, awards, and commendations during his career.

Rick had a passion for history and loved to travel with his wife and family. He recorded most of his journeys around the world and picked up little trinkets and souvenirs along the way. Upon retirement Rick enjoyed traveling with his wife, tinkering in his garage and researching his family history. He had unwavering faith in his Heavenly Father, it was the foundation upon which he built his life and instilled in his children. His family will miss his big presence in their lives but rejoices knowing he is at peace and resting as the good and faithful servant he was.

He is survived by his wife and family. He is preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Bartlett.
