Mrs. Linda Fay Townsend, age 73, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Tanner Medical Center - Carrollton (Carrollton, Georgia).
Mrs. Townsend was born on February 9, 1949, in Rome, Georgia, to Mr. Charles Hedgepath and Mrs. Leva Mae (Dooley) Hedgepath. She was married to Mr. William R. "Ricky" Townsend since 1965. She was the owner of Precision Screen. She was a loving wife, mother,grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Leva Mae Dooley) Hedgepath and her brothers, Mr. Charles Hedgepath and Mr. Mitchell Hedgepath.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Townsend; her son, Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne (Angela) Townsend: her daughter, Mrs. Pamela Townsend Stanley (Shain); her grandchildren, John Townsend, Kevin Townsend, Kimberly Craton and Lindsey Morrow; her 13 great grandchildren; her sisters, Mrs. Peggy Mauldin (Ricky) and Mrs. Anita Brown (Kevin); nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Linda Fay Townsend will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home with Tracy Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M.
