Mrs. Cecelia Vashti Henderson, was born to the late Mr. Walker and Lennie Neal Remes in Arp, Texas. She attended the public schools of Arp, and earned her teachers degree from Prairie View A& M College. She taught school in the Arp Public School District. She was married to Mr. Howard Henderson. He preceded her in death. No children were born to that union. She moved to Elmo about thirty-five years ago and united with the Baptist Church.
