Jeannie and Tom lived and worked in Houston, The Woodlands, New York, and Taipei, Taiwan. While living in Taipei, Jeannie and Tom travelled extensively throughout Asia. In 1989 they moved to The Woodlands, where they played tennis and golf at The Woodlands Country Club, took care of their pets, spent time with friends they loved dearly, and launched trips around the U.S. and abroad. Jeannie loved her work at The Woodlands Information Center, where she made dear friends who remained close to her and supported her until the day she passed away.
Jeannie will be remembered lovingly by everyone who knew her well as one of the sweetest persons they ever knew. She dealt gracefully with everything and everyone who came into her life, even as Alzheimer's robbed her of her memories. She was a truly extraordinary person.
Jeannie is survived by her husband Tom, her brother Larry Tate, and her sister and brother-in-law Ginger and Michael Chance. She was loved and cherished by her five nieces and nephews Todd, Larsen, David, Lynn, and Clair, her godchild, by numerous cousins, including her devoted friend, Jackie Colthart, and by many other relatives and friends.
