Paula "Sue" Reeves Lea, 79, of Danville, passed away at her home on February 16, 2022. Sue was born on December 24, 1942 in Macon, Ga to Byron Eugene Reeves and Pauline Blizzard Reeves. Sue was a model for two years for the Ann Zior Modeling School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Campbell University. Sue was a home economics teacher at Erwin High School for 10 years. She enjoyed arranging flowers and was past president of the Garden Club of Danville. Sue was a member of The Wednesday Club and tutored young students at Schoolfield Elementary.
Sue is survived by her husband, William Townes Lea Jr.; children, Jeanne Stuart Turlington; Edward Stuart Turlington (Megan); Carrie Turlington Bazemore and Kimberly Lea Turlington; six grandchildren, Katherine Hadley Bazemore, Cameryn Renee Lea, Randi Elise Lind, Colton Reeves Turlington, Jacob Harrison Bazemore and Ava Catherine Lea; her sisters, Joy Reeves Guido and Linda Reeves Blackstone; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by William Townes Lea III, Byron Duke Reeves, John Thomas Reeves, Byron Eugene Reeves II, Betty Reeves Johnson and Byron Wayne Allen.
Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
