Robert H. Bivens Sr. was a man of integrity whose actions matched his words. He passed away Feb. 10, 2022 at home surrounded by family.
He was a proud US Navy Veteran who loved racing at Portland Speedway in Portland, Oregon. along with rooting on his favorite football team the Seattle Seahawks.
His family and friends say he was a mentor and great friend to them. He gave good advice, while offering his wisdom, and he did so in a thoughtful and witty manner.
Robert began his 30 year career at Frito Lay Inc. in 1979; where he received an abundance of awards for miles safely driven. He possessed the most joy, satisfaction, and pride from his family. He was an immensely loving father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Thank you Bob, for the lives that you have touched, changed and inspired. For the growth in the people you have simply just met and all who really knew your heart.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Jessye Bivens; and son, Robert H. Bivens Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; beloved daughter, Cheri Bivens; stepson, Lee Dash; 8 grandchildren, and his 9 great-grandchildren.
Robert's funeral was held on February 24, 2022 at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Happy Valley, Oregon. 97086.
