Barbara F. Hill, 87, of Towanda, PA passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the Personal Care Home of Guthrie Memorial Hospital in Towanda.
Barbara was born February 20, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of Phillip and Esther (Anderson) Felton. She resided in Brooklyn until the age of 10 and moved to Towanda, PA where she attended high school. She went on to become a stewardess for Eastern Airlines. From there Barbara wed and raised her two sons, Timothy, and Wiley, raising them in Closter, NJ. She continued her education and obtained a bachelor, and master's degree in social work at Fordham University. Barbara returned to Towanda in 1987 where she was employed with Northern Tier Counseling, Children and Youth Services for 12 years. Barbara was an avid volunteer working with her church, the PTA, and hospice in NJ. She continued her passion volunteering at the Towanda Public Library, and Rainbow's End for 9 years. Barbara is survived by a brother, Charles Felton, and his son David. Additionally, she leaves behind her son Timothy and grandchildren Keith and Peter. She leaves behind many dear friends as well in the town of Towanda who helped her and became a second family, something she was always grateful for.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her son, Wiley. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family suggests that contributions may be directed to TACO, P.O.
