She was born on April 20, 1953 in Raeford, NC.
Sarah was educated in Hoke County schools and worked various jobs throughout her life. She spent her later years being a caregiver to her parents and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Mama.
She had a vivacious personality and a smile that would light up a room. She made friends everywhere she went and never met a stranger. Sarah traveled frequently to Sunset Beach, NC, with her husband and sisters to enjoy Beach music and her favorite, Calabash Seafood. She believed in dressing for the occasion and never left home without her lipstick. Sarah's family was the most important thing to her. In her final moments, she expressed her love and urged us to take care of each other. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, John Tyler and Marie Tyler; and her sister, Brenda Whaley.
She is survived by her husband, Berry Jackson of the home; and her sister, Margie Culbreth of Raeford, NC; her daughters, Jennifer Miramontes of Hope Mills, NC and Paige Baker (Mike) of St. Pauls, NC; six grandsons: Gabriel Miramontes, Blake Miramontes, Tyler Baker, Hunter Baker, Zander Miramontes, and Parker Baker.
