Dorothy Juanita Dyer, 89, of Pueblo, CO passed away on February 9th, 2022.
Born December 5th, 1932 in Union City, Tennessee to parents Melvin and Bertha (Boaz) Ams.
After completing grade school and high school she met and married Bruce Dyer and they had four wonderful children, Alan, Anne, Aaron and Amy. She and Bruce moved their family to Waco, TX and opened up a successful bed and breakfast, which they ran for 15 years.
Dorothy was an accomplished musician who excelled at piano and organ as well as singing. She had a magnificent soprano voice and sang whenever she could. During her down time and after retirement as well, she enjoyed many hobbies such as; sewing, crocheting, and reading. Most of all, she loved God and her family with the deepest love.
Dorothy is predeceased by her parents Melvin and Bertha (Boaz) Ams, husband Bruce Dyer, Brothers: Jimmy Ams, David Ams and Milton Ams.
Survived by children; Andy (Sandy) Dyer, Anne Speights, Aaron (Alice) Dyer and Amy (Nate) Rye; Grandchildren: Nathan Dyer, Meredith Echols, Holly Speights and Claire McGrath.
A celebration of life will be held at Beulah United Methodist Church is not yet scheduled but will be updated when available.
