Rebecca Carter Cassidy, 102, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10: AM Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Father Scott Winchel will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 Poplar Street, Macon 31201.
Mrs. Cassidy was born in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Pauline Dickinson Carter and Earl F. Carter, Sr. and was preceded in death by her husband, William James Cassidy, Jr. and her brother, Earl F. Carter, Jr. She was a homemaker and a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mrs. Cassidy is survived by her son, William J. Cassidy, III (Michele) of Macon; grandchildren, Brian Cassidy (Lori), Kelly Dahlquist (Bob), and Amy Lynch (James); great-grandchildren, Corinne Williams, Ella, Carter, and Cassidy Lynch; great-great-granddaughter, Carlie Waterston; nieces, Gaye Carter, Mary Kay Byerly, Lee Winters (Patrick) and Stephanie Rogers (Robert).
