It is with deep sorrow and much love we mourn the passing of Shauna Lee Shepherd Martin of Manteo, NC on July 24, 2021, at the age of 47.
She will be lovingly remembered by her four children; John Robert Scudder, III (Emma), Rebecca Grace Mae Scudder, Jeremiah Martin, and Joshua Adam Martin; six grandchildren; her mother, Sheila Shepherd Adwell; one sister, Erika Mollohan; and two nieces, JoAnna Mollohan Waggoner and Cali Miller.
Shauna was preceded in death by her two children; Matthew Martin and Macey Martin; two brothers, Curtis and Travis Clayton and her grandparents, Robert Junior Shepherd and Edna Mae Shepherd.
She was born in Grantsville, WV. She loved living at the beach, but her final wishes were to be buried in West Virginia.
A gathering of family and friends was held on Saturday, August 21 from 12 Noon to 1 P.M. at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV. Shauna's Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Johnny Conrad officiating. Immediately after the service, a private family inurnment was held at the Sugar Creek Cemetery.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the ICU staff at Sentara Princess Ann Hospital and Altmeyer Funeral Home in Virginia for their care and compassion during this trying time.
