Alicia was the second to youngest of five siblings - Angela, Salvador, Mary and Marcel - and was the proud mother of two daughters, Ann-Louise and Kathy. After separating from her husband, she entered the workforce as an insurance biller who always fought for her patients. She played the role of mother and father in a time when that wasn't common. Despite these and other struggles, she always provided a loving and warm home for her daughter, Ann-Louise, after Kathy passed away at age 6.
Alicia remarried in 1986 to Woodroe Swanson. They traveled through Europe and with an RV toured throughout the United States. She and Woody would spend their days tending to their garden and cooking for one another until his passing in 2009.
Alicia lived a full life as a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and dear friend. She spent her golden years honing her artistic ability, creating fabulous landscape paintings and wrote countless short stories. A devoted Catholic, she enjoyed her weekly get togethers with her rosary group.
Alicia is survived by her three grand-daughters - Michelle, Eileen and Amy - and four great grand-children - Noah, Cassidy, Chase and Reese. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
