Mrs. Fowler was born the daughter of Elbert Johnson and Fannie Mae Mishoe on June 17, 1944, in Horry County.
She was a former employee with the North Carolina Private Protective Services. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and crocheting.
She is survived by a brother, David Johnson (Mildred) of Seymore, Indiana; and her caretaker and friend, Mary Ruth Garvin (Herman) of Georgetown.
She was predeceased by her parents and a son, Jonathan Fowler.
Memorial Services will be private.
