Anna attended George Washington High School and graduated in 1963. Following high school, she worked at Eli Lilly for 12 years until she had kids. Her family spent many summers together traveling to Wisconsin and Kentucky enjoying time on the lake. Later in her life, she started working at as a teacher's aide and retired in 2016. She was a part of her sorority, Phi Beta Psi, and loved doing things in her community. In her retirement, she enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and going to ceramics. She was a wonderful friend and those that knew her were richer for it. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She loved them so much and they made her so proud.
Anna was a member of the Pittsboro Baptist Church for many years. Her relationship with Jesus was central to her life and she depended on him for her salvation.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son Gary Gray, sister-in-laws Enona Brewington and Kim Black, and brother-in-law Billy Gray.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia (John) Christian, son Brian (Eileen) Gray, grandchildren Tayler (Shaun) Black and Jace Christian, great grandchildren Noah and Eli Black, brothers Tom (Nola) Gregg and Jim (Aw) Gregg, sister-in-laws Sheila (late Bill) Kadel, Linda (Travis) Gasper and Glenda Gray as well as a large extended family.
Friends and family will gather at the Pittsboro Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm. Anna will be laid to rest in the K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
