Dorothy J. "Dottie" Reed, age 82, of Sharonville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. She was born March 4, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Frank and Helen (Leach) Duermit. In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, E. Robert Reed; sister, Martha Williams, and brother, Frank Duermit.
Beloved mother to Bobbi (Brian) Dempsey, Nick (Leslie) Reed, Todd Reed, and Mark (Kim) Reed; adoring "Granny" to Nick (Karissa) Schmidt, Mike (Katie) Schmidt, Erin (Jimm) Callaghan, Kylie Dempsey, Erin (Jim) Reed, Kelly Reed, Olivia Reed, Hannah Reed, Reagan Reed, Tony (Katie) Reed, and Tyler Reed; 7 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way; also survived by sisters, Joann Danbury and Ginny Mooney; sisters-in-law, Dottie Duermit, Vivian Swensen, and Joyce Weaver; among many extended family and dear friends.
Dottie retired as a bus driver for Princeton Schools. She loved playing cards at the casino, cheering on the Cincinnati Reds, and supporting her family's sports teams. She would often crotchet gifts for her family and friends and blankets for those in need. Dottie will be remembered and loved for her quiet, gentle nature and her thoughtfulness.
Visitation will be 11 A.M. until 2 P.M. on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, OH 45241. A graveside service will follow the visitation in procession to Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com.
