Henry David Harris, age 92, of Bastrop, Louisiana was born at Jones, Louisiana on March 4, 1929. He passed away peacefully, at his home in Bastrop, on February 18, 2022. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his son, Ricky David Harris; his parents, James Irvin Harris and Minnie Rainbolt Harris; son-in-law, Ken Bryan; and brother-in-law, Doyle Roberts. Mr. Harris was a retired machine operator with International Paper Company. He was an excellent provider for his family and a devoted and beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife of 75 years, June Raley Harris; their three daughters, Rita Gay Travis and her husband, Steve, Sandra Fay Bryan, and Brenda Kay Smith and her husband, Don. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Kevin Travis and his wife, Amber, Christopher Travis and his wife, Jennifer, Leslie Pickering and her husband, Trey, Jason Lowery and his wife, Keri, Timothy Lowery and his wife, Stephanie, Lisa Marie Nance and her husband, Mike, Kristin Parker and her husband, Jason, and Courtney Powell and her husband, Justin; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Harris; and two sisters, Carlene Bryant and her husband, Don, and Doris Roberts.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop followed by graveside funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery of Bastrop with Pastor Tony Smith officiating.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandsons, Kevin Travis, Christopher Travis, Jason Lowery, Timothy Lowery, Jason Parker, and Justin Powell.
