The son of DeAlva Roberts Partin and the late Dr. Duane Bivins Partin, Danny was born on April 26, 1962, in Valdosta, Georgia.
As a missionary's son, he grew up in Brazil's Amazon.
Returning stateside, Danny served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Summerville, South Carolina. After his time in the military, he worked as a Public Adjuster for the Insurance Claim Consultants (ICC) until retirement.
Danny had a love for animals and rescued many strays. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed horticulture. He was a member of an Archaeological club and volunteered at the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies, both in Gulfport, Mississippi.
In addition to Danny's father, he was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Jennifer Nicole Lee Dorothy and Daniel Tyler Lee.
Danny's memory will be cherished by his wife of 13 years, Katherine Andrea "Kathy" Singletary Partin of Gulfport, Mississippi; mother, DeAlva Roberts Partin of Byron, Georgia; sisters, Dawn Partin Smith (Roy Stanley) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Danita Partin Slangal (Charles David) of Byron; three grandchildren, Marley Brianne Glick, Emma Bella Lee, Jaxon Lee Glick; nephew, Matthew Hamilton Smith (Ashton); as well as many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Andersonville National Cemetery with Military Honors. Reverend Jeff Cleghorn will officiate.
Due to Covid-19, the family respectfully requests that all guest attending services were a mask.
