Etta Rosa Johnston, 81, 1008 Sixth Ave. N.W., Mandan, died March 30, 1993, in the Mandan hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church, Lansford, with burial in the church cemetery.

Etta Baggenstoss was born Oct. 23, 1911, at Des Lacs. When Etta wasn't home reading or baking bread or crocheting afghans for her many grandchildren, you could find her at the Lansford Bowling Alley, where she was a familiar face for more than 25 years.

She is survived by two sons, Richard, Alamosa, Calif., and Jerome, Northfield, Minn.; three daughters, Bunny Richardson, Mandan, Kathy Buelow, Hemingford, Neb., and Jill Ritz, Mandan; one sister, Elsie Zimny, Moorhead, Minn.; and three brothers, Elmer, Hesparia, Calif., Arthur, Lansford, Donald, St. Louis Park, Minn.
