She was born January 14, 1946, in Pine Bluff to James Homer and Dorothy Ida Hughes Beard.
Mrs. Lewis had lived on Princeton Pike where she was raised and attended Dollarway High School and then UAPB. She also lived in California briefly as a young adult. She had worked at the Pine Bluff Country Club and Lavender's Restaurant.
She was a homemaker, devoted mother and enjoyed taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pippa Lewis; her parents; brothers, Homer, Gene and Eddie Bo.
Survivors include her daughter, Danya Lewis of Rison; a son Shawn Lewis; sister, Genny Chism of Memphis. Tennessee; brother, Jerry Beard of Arkansas; grandchildren, Kylin, Keniz, Kale, Tenise, Taomi, Tashawna, Aiden and a great-grandchild, Kehlani.
Burial will be private at Hardin Cemetery.
