Kay Terry Johnson passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022, at his home in Arp, Texas at the age of 93.

Born on December 27, 1928, in Beaumont, Texas to Merrill and Blanche Johnson, Kay Terry enlisted in the Army in 1950 and was a paratrooper in the 82nd airborne. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Houston in 1961 and worked in sales in the furniture industry before retiring to become a full-time granddaddy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Patricia Baugh, and his daughter Kathy Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Nancy, his sister Rosie Curry of Gun Barrel City, TX children Karin Gaylor (Kent) of League City, TX, Cindy Kirby (Larry) of Arp, Texas, Margaret Mayfield (Forrest) of Tyler, TX, and Marty Bishop (Marcy) of Tucson, AZ along with 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
