Larry Charles (Mayweather) Bennett, Sr. was born May 26, 1966, to Ida Mae Bennett and Willie Charles Mayweather in Chattanooga, TN. Larry went home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2022. He worked in construction.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ida Mae Bennett and Willie Charles Mayweather.
He is survived by his daughter, Ishaley Bennett; sons, Larry Charles Bennett, Jr., Demarcus Yarbrough; grandchildren, Kingston Major Bennett, Aa'niylay Burge, Christian Burge, Christopher Burge, Demarcus Yarbrough, Jr., Demarion Yarbrough, Da'Zaiya Yarbrough; sisters, Dolly Bennett (Burris), of California, Shirley Bennett, of Chattanooga; brothers, James Bennett, Jr., Jerry Bennett (Linda Bennett), Edward Bennett, and Lebron Bennett; aunt, Sallie Hardy (92); 7 nieces and 5 nephews, all of Chattanooga; a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm Thursday, February 24, 2022, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am, Friday, February 25, 2022, in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
